Nice article Roy!
All I can add are a few tidbits: One is that Willie only did those tumble turns for Roy to watch to help improve his tumbles(always the teacher)...I think that is the first or second time I've ever seen him do a tumble and they are really great super smooth and snappy, on the first video where we got him to come out in Lost Slough he was behind my little Sanger Barefoot trainer which only gave him 41 max and he really likes 43 to 44 for his one foot tricks/wakes plus out on unfamilar waterways he was skiing very cautiously(Roy and I love Lost Slough) we are very comfortable back there in the skinny little cut known as Lost. Willie has said he will be out there more once worlds is over but since it has some debris issues he was not too relaxed, he was kind of just "feeling out" the wake and not in one of his favorite haunts like the Port, Beach Lake, Twin Cities lake or one of the very safe private lakes he skis(Shortline/Diablo Shores)(once we did pull a railroad tie out of the Port that was floating just under/at the surface!) I think Willie is skiing very well and consistant he should have a good showing at worlds and put up some high scores as long as he gets a good pull, he is ready, willing, and able...he went plenty early and got in some practice to get "acclimated" so watch for some high scores from Willie.
One other thing of note is that his tricks are still being done on an old poly e rope, he likes the springy stretch for doing his turns and just cannot get used to the spectra none stretch used by just about everybody else...you cannot teach an old dog new tricks!
